A group of capitalist businessmen are building a renowned shopping center in Puerto Vallarta. Called ‘La Isla,’ the new mall represents a new and attractive concept that already operates in other major Mexican tourist destinations, such as Cancun and Acapulco. The business group will build La Isla Puerto Vallarta with typical Mexican characteristics, respecting as much as possible the image that this destination has in Mexico and abroad.

The commercial project will be located on the north side of the Grand Venetian touristic real estate development, overlooking the Pitillal River. Contemplated work would involve a comprehensive series of jobs, which includes the remodeling and renovation of Peninsula Plaza, enclosing ‘The Island’ property, and building a connecting bridge over the Pitillal River. Thus the project of La Isla Puerto Vallarta would combine two areas: the Peninsula shopping plaza, which the capital business group has already acquired for an undisclosed amount, and the property on which the ‘Very Mexican’ mall will be built.

To realize this project, the Group also acquired the land located on the north side of the Grand Venetian development, which represents a corridor-type entrance that will go from Avenida Francisco Medina Ascencio Avenue to the foot of Holi Beach. Once operational, the La Isla Mall will boast stores and brands of national and international prestige, upscale restaurants and boutiques, and the added “plus” of being connected to Peninsula Plaza by a panoramic bridge.

The group of investors that will make this ambitious project a reality has extensive experience in luxury real estate and commercial center developments in the country. There is talk of a large investment and the possibility that next year they will be ready to build the plaza, which they anticipate will be operational by the end of 2015. With commercial investments like this continuing to stream into Puerto Vallarta comes the imminent recovery of the tourism industry in Puerto Vallarta, and the country in general.

Un importante grupo de empresarios capitalinos construirá en Puerto Vallarta un reconocido centro comercial de nombre La Isla, que representa todo un novedoso y atractivo concepto que ya opera en destinos turísticos importantes del país como lo son Cancún y Acapulco.

El grupo empresarial construiría, de esta manera, La Isla Puerto Vallarta con características típicas mexicanas, respetando en la mayor medida posible la imagen que este destino turístico tiene en México y el extranjero. El proyecto se ubicaría en terrenos del desarrollo turístico e inmobiliario Grand Venetian, particularmente en el ala norte que da al río Pitillal. La obra incluiría una serie de trabajos integrales que contemplaría, incluso, la remodelación y arreglo de Plaza Península, recinto con el que el inmueble de La Isla se conectaría mediante un puente sobre el río Pitillal.

Es así que el proyecto de La Isla Puerto Vallarta permitiría juntar dos áreas: la plaza comercial Península -que el grupo de empresarios capitalinos ya adquirió en una cantidad que no fue dada a conocer- y el inmueble en el que será construido un centro comercial muy mexicano. Para hacer realidad este proyecto, el grupo empresarial adquirió también los terrenos ubicados en el ala norte del desarrollo Grand Ventian, que representa una superficie tipo corredor que va de la avenida Francisco Medina Ascencio hasta el pie de la playa Holi.

Una vez en operaciones, el centro comercial Las Isla contaría con tiendas y marcas de prestigio nacional e internacional, restaurantes y boutiques de alto nivel, con el “plus” de estar conectados con un puente panorámico con plaza Península. El grupo de inversionistas que hará realidad este ambicioso proyecto tiene una amplia experiencia en centros comerciales y desarrollos inmobiliarios de lujo en el país. Se habla de una fuerte inversión y existe la posibilidad de que el año próximo estaría lista la construcción de la plaza, de tal manera que estaría en operaciones en los últimos meses del 2015. Es así que las inversiones seguirán fluyendo en Puerto Vallarta en el ramo comercial, ante la inminente recuperación de la industria turística en Puerto Vallarta y el país en general.
